Shail Kala Evam Gramin Vikas Samiti was founded by Mr. Swami S. Chandra in 1988 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He started this non profit organization (NGO) in 1986. The Organization is working for saving Uttarakhand culture, Uttarakhand local art and music and improve the social life. Shail Kala Evam Gramin Vikas Samiti is also working in the field of child education and running an old age home in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
Periodically the organization arranged the art & painting completion, easy writing, group discussion, Rangoli, and general knowledge competition. The society works for the primary education of slum area children. Every year the society conducts a workshop for local artist and musician in the summer.

Our NGO conduct three day cultural programs every year. This program focus on the folk artist and folk musician. The organization provides all facilities to the folk artist and musician to share this art among people. We work to save and serve Uttarakhand culture. We also do cultural program to collect donation for the slum area children education and study material. Currently we provide education and study material for 96 children. We want to adopt more children, but there is some financial issue which we are facing. Anyone can donate us for a child education and study material. Shail Kala Evam Gramin Vikas Samiti is a registered NGO in Dehradun who provides 80 G income tax rebate certification on your donation.
The organization has been working since 1988 to serve information about Uttarakhand culture and heritage worldwide. We have done many programs in all over India. Mr. Swami S. Chandra and his team members rewarded by many state governments for their work and effort.

• Running “Shail Jaunsar - Bawar Sanskruti Kala Manch” to provide a stage for local artist.

Mr. Swami S. Chandra awarded by many states government for their works. Now our mission is open an institution where any one can learn Uttarakhand culture, songs, music and other things. We are looking for some fund and volunteers who can work with us to save the Uttarakhand culture and music.
